Dr. Ernest Juean graduated from Richfield High School in Minnesota. He then attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus, earning a degree in Microbiology and a minor in chemistry. After graduation, Dr. Juean worked as a Research Assistant in both hematology and plant biology laboratories at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and St. Paul Campus, respectively. He then moved to Waukegan IL to work as an R/D technician and decided to pursue dentistry. Dr. Juean graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry.

While at the College of Dentistry, Dr. Juean developed a heart for volunteering and promoting oral health. He was a participant in student run dental clinics. He volunteered at Komed Holman Health Center in Chicago and completed an externship rotation in Panajachel, Guatemala. These were all life changing experiences that thought Dr Juean the importance of access to oral health.

Dr. Juean values continuing education. He has worked in private practices, corporate dentistry, and community clinic dentistry. He’s a fellow of Great Lakes Implant Institute. His professional affiliations are with Minnesota Dental Associations including St. Paul District, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and American Dental Association.

Dr. Juean and his wife Winna Taylor-Juean MD enjoy taking vacations. They explore different cultures, arts, and foods from the local places they visit. When he is not practicing dentistry, he is playing golf, swimming or working out. In his downtime, he enjoys reading a good book and he always welcomes a good joke!

Dr. Juean was inspired by his grandmother ” Martha Manly”. Her faith in God lead her on this extraordinary journey of life. She took the leap of faith to leave a little village in the county side of Liberia to move to the capital, Monrovia. Her courage changed the course of her children’s lives. She taught them to treat every person with respect, honor and fairness. Her teachings are at the core of Dr. Juean’s mission statement. His team is on the Frontline of practicing professional and ethical care with integrity.
